Bush on Terrorism

George W Bush - A man who is going to be remembered forever in worlds history for his stand on terrorism. There is only two ways to look at it 1.Is this (Bush) kind of an approach needed or not? 2.If no What else can we do against terrorism?

Before I get deeper into this topic I have to clear my view on Muslims. I believe they are the finest and nicest people who strongly believe in peace. I personally have come across many muslim brothers who i really admire till date and I vehemently oppose the ones who say "MUSLIMS ARE TERRORISTS" They are not and they never will be. Terrorists do not belong to any caste or creed coz they are not humans and their minds are corrupted.

I have mixed feelings on Bush's stand on fighting terror. I feel what bush has done and is doing is good not only for USA its good for the human race. Americans are not fighting against terrorists but agaisnt people who are causing creulty and injustice to human race. We call America as Super Power the worlds richest and powerful and if they do not fight terrorism who else can do? Its like the eldest brother taking the responsibility of a family. Big Brother America is the one who should do this and we all should support him in this. Terrorists are not bravo's they are cowards who hide their face and have no guts to come out and fight.

Countries like Afghanistan and Iraq became safe haven's to them due to their political instability. So invading Afghanistan which was in ruins to drive away and contain terrorist activities cannot be termed as a mistake. Though Iraq invasion is a controversial one because after the invasion Bush's reasons to invade (bio/nuclear weapons) are not proved yet. Also, there can be a selfish reason - "OIL". Look at terrorist activities all over the world they are everywhere and before they where are not connected globally they operated as small units. Now they are are bringing everything under one umbrella their network is getting stronger. If they succeed in the process of consolidation then their powers would grwo many folds and repurctions will be devastating. America is fighting them in their land where they germinate. They are trying to create a base and then concquer more bases. They started with Afganisthan and then their nest target was Iraq and it will go on. Fighting them there is very important if you dont they will become stronger and stronger.

I also greatly appreciate UK (Tony Blair) and all the allied forces fighting in Iraq and Afghanisthan. My prayers is with the family of the soldiers who lost their life in this mighty mission.

Though I have tons to write I leave it here to you my friends fill in your comments and let me reply with more views............

Well , there is no 2 way of luking at it there is jus 1 way of luking at it and thats the right way .wat can be done to kill terrorism is a different Topic al togethr but.................. apprecitaing US and bush for there efforts is madness or shud i call it blindness . they dont deserve it ..................but offocurse my due respects for al those soldiers from US,UK and other western countries who died in this battle against terrorism and other soldiers who are still there miles away from there families and mother land ,an another reason why bush needs to be blamed .Infact hillary clinton recently rightly said that bush had taken US to days of destruction.

one thing that world needs to remember is Saddam Hussein , bin Laden and the Taliban and many other so called terrorist groups have moved from status of U.S. allies to enemies.though US media has downplayed the origins of bin Laden and Islamic fundamentalism i wud like to take u guys back to 1979 wen CIA (US agency) trained Taliban militia group for there own rivalry aginst Russia ,then US termed them "freedom fighters" and now US leaders and media call them and an “evil-doer” .

The so called "Super Power "and there secret agency CIA is al abt bribing foreign politicians, invading with secret armies, Drugs business, supplying arms to people who plan to use them against their leaders, or kill people who displease Washington. Not to forget that bush senior himself headed CIA once , so no wonder his son is trying to chop the poisous plant his father seeded at the cost of hundreds of lives of iraq and iran civilians .most people have no idea of activities of the secret agencies of the US governmnt.

to hit the nail on the head , US and its president are waging tis war not to save the world trying to play the role of big brother ,its jus a reaction , aftermath of a terrorist atrocity caused to their nation — the most mentionable being the mass murder of thousands of working people in twin towers on September 11 .eyeing the lucrative oil fields and other objectives do also play a part.....

Laden the “freedom fighter” is now lambasted by US leaders and the Western media as a "terrorist" . So do giv a thot if u realy want to cal bush a hero......

and talking abt ending terrorism .................wel its a very subjective discussion with whole lot of open solutions to it ,every country and state is waging war against terrorism at its own strength whether it be tamilians in ceylon , militants in kashmir, ULFA in assam , militants in chechnya , PFLP in palestine, taliban in afghanistan,al quaeda in iraq .....more in al over the world .....the list goes on .

If as an Indian i dont like and want US stepping to solve india - pakistan issue ,i m sure lot many iraqis and iranians would share the same feeling.well its high time US stops bossing around and better mind its own business and let others solve there own problems as they have been doing all these years.

US in there efforts and campaign to save the world is jus making roads for 3rd world war .......by every country taking there sides in supporting the countries.....

lot of your points address the past and sounds right in a way......but the need of the hour is entirely different.....are we going to let terrorist consolidate and cause threat to the countries around the world or are we going to say its not my business and I will mind my business within my boundary.......its like saying I will go to doctor after something comes to me and not trying to take precautionary measures......even in my comments I have been critical in praising Bush in some areas but still on a larger perspective his GUTS to handle this issue is something that has to be appreciated. You forgot something in your view........there is this Kashmir issue that was going on for years now but in the past 10 years its intensified and getting aid from foreign militia's the result of it is felt all over the country.....today Kashmir militants are part of an international organisation and funded by them.......so fighing them at their base/roots helps to contain their spread and stop them growing. Today the scenario is much different and worser I would say and looking at it on a global perspective I think what America is doing now is good for the whole world.

Hillary Clinton - good that she is handling sensitive issues in a sensitive way to grab attention and draw mileage for her upcoming presidential bid. But what if 9/11 happened when Bill or Hillary Clinton being in power. Do you think they would sat with guns in US boundaries and say "I will if they enter my country" no not at all they would have taken much aggressive steps than what Bush had taken. By the By after 9/11 there is not even a single major/minor attack on US till to date and what do you think made that possible? Its the same Bush guts that made it possible.
