Global Warming Whats Alarming?

Global Warming - A word thats getting popularized very fast these days. Why is it becoming popular now and why are countries showing interest/concern on this topic now? thats the interesting part of the whole Global Warming debate. Because the devastating effects of Global Warming is very much experienced all over the world and its causing fear and panic. What do we do to stop this? I do not think we can restore the lost and stop the current effects but we can certainly stop further global warming and stop further devastation.

New Jersey recieved record low snow.......Beijing recieved record high snow...........Snow Storm in California........Drought in South India........North India is flooding...........uncontrollable forest fire in Australia...........arent these headings contradicting and alarming?

We the humans have magnanimously contributed 90% to this level of Global Warming. So there is no need to say who should stop this. Are we going to leave a safe and sound world with all the same natural pleasures that we enjoyed during our stay in this earth to our future generations? The answer would be no if we continue like this. One should take this issue very personal and should not be careless thinking the governments will/should take steps. We can contribute in so many ways to stop this happening. We should actively participate with groups that work for preserving nature in whatever way we can. Participation can be in any way. It can be as simple as sending a link of a Global Warming awareness website to a friend. ex: www.stopglobalwarming.org, www.greenhousenet.org

One of the worlds most eminent ecologist and climatologist is an Indian - Dr.Rajendra K Pachauri. Dr R K Pachauri is Chairman of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). Please visit www.ipcc.ch

Please stop polluting this wonderful earth and let us leave a safe and sound place for our future generations.

Stop Global Warming!!!

Make the World a better place to live in for you, me and for everyone…

I was reminded of the song when I was looking at the blog that you have written …
Though I don’t know much about global warming, having to undergo its severe impact I felt I could spill my thoughts, over the blog. The last few summer in Chennai is getting hotter and hotter result of the global phenomena that is affecting the world at large and we are no exception to this. The fact that lose of life due to sun stroke is never heard of in Tamilnadu which we are infact getting used to. Infact we were lucky enough since our ancestors had left with greener environs for us to lead a happy life. On the same note it is our responsibility to leave a better environment for the future generation. As layman suggestion I feel instead of gifting material gifts on occasions it high time we started to gift plants, saplings. This could be a smaller step though it would leave a greener tomorrow for the generations to come. Kindly excuse me if this sounds silly though I think this would be a just a small beginning to a big revolution.

Not silly at all Karthick....its a wise suggestion infact....this reminds of a story in which I read that people can gift books to share/empower knowledge going by that example yours is a best suggestion I would say.....thanks for your reply and small ideas and suggestions like this will help in a big way......good one.....
