Biggest event of 2007

Biggest sports festival is around the corner. You can spot people crowding in front of TV shops, restaurants that has a TV on display, giant screens in public places, your email inbox flooded with forwarded mails, SMS's coming in ever moment, discounts all around on products and services and even credit cards offering discounts on purchases...........its gonna be cricket everywhere.........in schools, colleges, and offices.........anyone you meet will have some thing to speak about cricket.........I am not a big cricket enthusiast but still this fever catches me once in four years atleast. Brits took our Kohinoor and left this precious game to us. Its worth billions in money value and has done India proud lot many times.
You can call it anything you want an industry which employs thousands and thousands all over the country, a god coz it is worshipped by many. There are people who have memorized the statistics of this game of Cricket over decades and there are guys who can talk hours about Cricket strategy. Cricket is no more a mere sport in this country, sometimes it has played the part of an ambassador of peace to our neighbours. Technology has revolutionised Cricket over the years. Those days you can only get to hear the commenteries today its Live everywhere. Cricket commentry and live feeds are available everywhere on your mobile, in your office (thru internet), on your mobile and I have seen TV's placed in rest rooms.

Lets get ready to be bitten by the Cricket bug and enjoy the fever of this season.

One event that i am waiting for to unfold. It catches the attention of millions of indians atleast for now these mega serials would take a back seat in most homes. The board exams would happen at the same time that may raise a few eyebrows, but im sure even if they were to relax they too would be following cricket. This time around India definitely stands good chance of winning the the cup that adds more intrest to the game. Most of them who do not follow the game too follow it now to keep up with the trend. The world cup would raise a lot of issues, the ones who want dravid to decline capitancy and the ones who are pitching for sachin's as a captain, the form of a few players like Ganguly,Shewag, Yuvraj, Irfan Pathan and Munaf much speculated over their selction all gives us the ultimate spice to watch the game. When the game unfurls it would have a lot to unfurl in itself. I am a strong indian supporter who has been waiting for the world cup to start and want India to win. Millions and Millions of Luck for the MEN IN BLUE. I Sign of by saying INDIANS WOULD LIFT THE CUP. My Prayers for the same.
